1.29.02 6:13 AM (Tuesday)  Vietnamese sandwiches
My Monday was pretty much boring. During Stats I found out Ms. Farmer dropped my 2nd Unit test, which I got a 47/50, where she should've dropped my 5th Unit Test, which I got 44/50. I have to get at least a 5/75 to maintain my A now... hmm.

During lunch I went with Eric, David, Jeffo, and Brian to Chinatown for Vietnamese sandwiches. It never occurred to me how much Vietnamese food resembled Filipino food.

What else... oh yeah, in 6th period David F., Andrea, Michele and I finally presented our Great Gatsby project. Ms. Strentz liked it, because we made a lot of smart points, and we ended up taking the whole period because of the discussion. Yeah..
1.27.02 5:08 PM (Sunday)  It snowed
Hmm this weekend is almost over. Yesterday morning I went to go get a haircut and then went to this Key Club rally at Franklin. I was supposed to go to an NHS Sack Lunch thing but it was cancelled. Then last night it snowed. Today I was supposed to go to my aunt's retirement party but it was delayed because of the weather. So I'm hoping it will snow again or something... I haven't done any HW yet, and I don't want to go to school tomorrow either.
1.25.02 6:34 PM (Friday)  And 13 hours later...
Today was a synch, a good way to end the week. When 2nd period came everyone was all anxious to see their schedules for next semester, like "WTF, where are they." Nomura didn't have them in his box, so he didn't know what was going on. Two people went to the counseling office, someone to Nomura's box, they came back saying the schedules would be in the teachers' boxes at 9:20. Math was so boring, trapezoid rule, okay, and then Simpson's rule, don't know why we're covering it because it's such a stupid rule and it's not on the AP test (yes that's my philosophy). And yeah... smooth sailing until lunch, when we were walking outside to go to BK but then David agreed to help bring the Messengers in, it really sucked. We brought them in and Naomi was like "NO THEY DON'T GO HERE BRING THEM INSIDE!" So I did, and everyone left, so I had to walk alone to the car.

Got to BK, they took our order but it was so disorganized we ordered extra at the window. I got Chicken Tenders for Leanne, and a Hickory Bacon Cheeseburger for Ulysses. Great, everyone remember Ulysses owes me $1! TAing was in Spang's again, and LA was more Gatsby discussion projects.

And that's my schoolday...
1.25.02 5:13 AM (Friday)  Easy day
This week has just flown by really fast. Maybe that's b/c MLK day was on Monday and we started the week out on Tuesday. Well I found out Tuesday I'm getting an 80.3% in History, which is OK! It's a mid-B, there was no possible way for me to get an A so I didn't care. Wednesday we had a test in AP Stats, everyone was like "eh this will be test I'm going to drop" but it wasn't too bad, considering the notes Ms. Farmer gave us to use for the test was really good. Thursday (today... err... yesterday) I had another math test in AP Calc, it was pretty easy but for some reason there were one or two questions that were really hard, I was like "WTF" and pondered over them for 50 or so minutes.

Stars I played Mancala with Michele, it was so funny because she was playing the way her computer plays and it seemed like she was making up rules just so she could win. The rest of the day was just as easy. And I had no homework so it's all good... can't wait for the end of the week.
1.21.02 7:06 PM (Monday)  My FFX rant
Today I went to Southcenter and got Final Fantasy X. Started playing it. It sucks so far...

FF's lately, since Final Fantasy VIII (the worst of the PSX/PS2 FF's) have become like a chore to play. I get nothing new out of them. The blonde hero-with-a-really-big-sword thing is really getting old... and the heroines are pretty much all the same too. I dunno, I played FFVII at the beginning of 7th grade, VIII at the beginning of 9th, IX at the beginning of 10th, and now X midway through 11th. They come out once a year now... the excitement's really just disappeared.
1.19.02 3:47 PM (Saturday)  And so another week goes by
I haven't been updating much, but this past week has again been uneventful.

In Japanese we've had a sub all week. It's so stupid because we had busywork yesterday... waste of time! Wednesday was kinda interesting because we watched this sad anime called "Barefoot Gen" or something like that.

What else... yesterday was pretty interesting. Two sets of study questions due for AP US, and I did really bad on my objective test! I found out I was getting a low B for the semester which is okay I guess. I better get a 4 or a 5 on that darn AP test.

In AP LA we had this quiz on Great Gatsby but the questions were kinda obscure. Ms. Strentz felt kinda bad. We used the rest of the period to relax, I played a few rounds of Hearts and lost really badly.

And now, three day weekend. Just two more weeks until the semester is over. It's strange because I remember last year, when 2nd semester started, and it doesn't feel like one year has passed at all. Before we know it we'll all be graduating...
1.12.02 3:34 PM (Saturday)  Warez and stuff
So the first week after break is finally over...

School hasn't been interesting at all. Just the same routines over and over. Yesterday we had a party for Martin during lunch, I kept him "distracted" in Spang's even though he knew we had something planned for him, and I told him we were going to play Survivor even though we really weren't (hmm.)

Yesterday I also hung out with Jay... it was really awkward at first. We went to Chinatown, went to Ramutei for some sushi, Downtown to Gameworks, back to Uwaji to get some food. At the 36 busstop there was this really drunken old Chinese guy that was like "I'LL CALL YOU CALLER ID $25 SO WE CAN FUCK" and he was pretty scary, but I felt kinda sorry for him. Anyways.

I've also been downloading lots of warez lately... Alex G. gave me his legit copy of Photoshop 5.0 for Mac on Wednesday but didn't have a serial number so I was forced to look one up online. Now I'm finding lots of other software that I need... it feels so illegal, but software is just so damn expensive.
1.9.02 5:04 AM (Wednesday)  Oh Mandy... well you came and you gave without taking
Monday night I saw Mandy Moore and Shane West (WTF is that) at Southcenter. I almost wasn't going to go because no one at school wanted to give me a ride, but when I got home I asked my sister if she wanted to go so we went and yeah. The line was pretty long but she stayed, I got a poster with their autographs on it promoting her new movie.
These past two days of school have been quite tiresome, I've been falling asleep in lots of my classes.
1.7.02 1:26 AM (Monday)  Depression and pre-school blues
Argh, today I go back to school. Having done no homework, and thinking I would use break to catch up on all my homework, I feel worried. But I'll take deep breaths and worry later...

Since Wednesday some interesting things have happened. Thursday was David's 2nd b-day party hosted by his parents, Aaron, Raymond, James, Eric, and I all went to his house for dinner. David also got his license recently, so he drove me over there... Friday we went to Todai's in Redmond for David's 3rd b-day party, it was just Gabino, Aaron, David and I, and David got a free meal. The food there is hella bomb. But expensive... afterwards we went to David's house and made this really stupid online quiz which took an hour and all the questions were fake and stupid.

Saturday I just stayed home and did nothing eventful... today I was hoping would be the same, but David said he'd drive me around somewhere so I opted to go to Chinatown. First he had to drop by Eric's and Brian's houses, sure, and then we went to Chinatown but he didn't even want to go into the restaurant with me. Yeah... what a waste of two hours.

Now I'm just sitting at my computer, trying to make up for lost homework time by studying my textbooks...
1.3.02 5:30 AM (Thursday)  Computer hell
Happy new year's everyone...

Since the last time I've updated a whole lot has happened. New Year's day wasn't so good, but then again it wasn't bad either. I spent the day at David's house downloading the rest of my songs to put on a CD.

Today was quite eventful because in the morning all the computer stuff I ordered came... a new scanner, USB card, 256 block of SDRAM (yay), and Mac OS X. I tried installing all the crap in the morning but I didn't have time. Alex G. soon picked me up and we headed for Illusionz in Issaquah...

Well we got a little lost on the way, but we eventually found it. We had 20 minutes to spare beacuse they opened at 2 PM... so we went to the local post office so I could make a money order. Then I realized we were in Issaquah, because everything was so suburb-like and everyone seemed to know each other. Also interesting was this place called "XXX Root Beer," uhh yeah.

Oh well, Alex and I bought 3 hour cards for $20 each, a very good deal considering the place wasn't so busy and the selection is huge compared to Gameworks. The first game I played was the DDR 4th+ Solo... that game is awesome. Too bad they didn't have the 4th+ regular... I tried DDRMAX, the songs on it basically suck and the version of "Yozora no Mukou" by SMAP sounds really crappy. We also saw Elise and Erin there, which is strange because I seem to run into them whenever I play DDR.

I tried other Bemani like Keyboard Mania, Drum Mania, and Guitar Freaks and I particularly liked the guitar game (it was the easiest out of the three.) I also played PPP once, a few games of MvC2, and the last game I could play was Mr. Driller before my card expired. They had Mr. Driller on bigscreen! If only Gameworks were as good.

Well our cards expired and we soon left, Alex dropped me off home where I faced computer hell... I finally installed all the hardware and crap, and the computer loaded up nice and fine. Then I installed OS 9 and everything fell apart... I proceeded to back everything up into 4 ZIP disks (it took forever deciding what to keep and what to throw away) so I could initialize the HD and just install OS 9. For some reason the installation was all crappy; the CD-ROM wasn't registering anything. But I couldn't figure out what was wrong... after a while I reformatted and installed OS 9 again. And now things seem to be working fine. But I won't try OS X, not yet anyway... I need to have 1.5 gigs available? That's half of our HD...
